Can You Still Start Surrogacy During A Pandemic?

California Surrogacy

One of the most common questions we’ve gotten over the last few months is: “Can I still start my surrogacy journey during a pandemic?” The answer is a resounding yes, you can start your surrogacy journey right now. In fact, it may be a better time than ever to start it – you will be able to dedicate time to sitting down and figuring out exactly what it is that you want and how you want to get there.

Many people have realized over the last few months that they want children more than ever, and whether you are just starting to think about surrogacy or you have long known you want to do it, there are some unique problems that we’ve faced into 2021.

Even so, our team continues to work harder than ever to ensure that each surrogacy experience is one that gives you the fondest memories. There are some very specific circumstances that have required us to do some quick thinking and push our creativity, but much of what we do has continued just as it always was.

How EDSI Has Responded To Challenges

The pandemic has thrown us all off course a few times, and there have been some unique circumstances facing people who have had babies over the past few months, particularly international parents from China. As it is more difficult than ever to get into the United States, sometimes it is difficult for Intended Parents to actually be present for the birth of  their babies.

EDSI hasn’t left their sides during this time. We’ve arranged for nannies, medical care, Zoom calls, and more for the  parents until they can hold their child for the first time. We’ve also helped to arrange transportation so that those reunions can happen much faster.
