The Egg Donation Process For Intended Parents

The egg donation process is a shorter one for most Intended Parents as it is just one aspect of their pathways toward parenthood. Not everyone’s path is the same, but they all follow the same basic format:

Step 1: Finding An Egg Donor. First, you will search through Egg Donor profiles, which contain some basic information (height, ethnicity, eye color, hair color, etc) as well as costs and photos. You will be able to filter through our Egg Donors to determine which ones may be matches for you.

Step 2: Reserve Donor, Sign Contracts, and Pay Retainer Fee. Next, you will select the donor that you want to work with – you can reserve up to 2 for 72 hours. You will have to sign the paperwork and determine dates and other information if everything works out. Everything is handled by EDSI – our team ensures that the Donor is up to our standards and healthy enough to undergo the psychological and medical screenings.

Step 3: Egg Retrieval and Completion of Cycle. The Egg Donor will start to take hormone injections a few weeks before retrieval. Then, a non-surgical procedure is done to get the eggs. After everything is confirmed, the final fees are paid to the Egg Donor.

This is just an overview of the egg donation process – for more information, navigate to the “Egg Donation Process” page.
